My Review

Here's my review of the book! I can't believe I stumbled across this gem while browsing for shifter romances. As someone who's always been drawn to stories about finding your true family and belonging, this one really spoke to me. The story follows Colette, a young fox shifter who makes the brave choice to leave her restrictive home life behind when she turns 18. While some might question her decisions (and believe me, I had moments of concern), I actually found myself cheering for her determination to create a better life for herself. The way she discovers her mates and finds acceptance in their pack made my heart so warm. What I absolutely adored was the focus on chosen family and unconditional love. The three brothers who become Colette's mates are protective without being overbearing, and they support her dreams in such touching ways. The supernatural elements are woven in beautifully, and the small-town setting of Willowdale Village feels like somewhere I'd love to visit. That said, I did have some issues with the pacing - things moved extremely quickly, and I would have loved to see more character development and relationship building. Some of the intimate scenes felt a bit oddly timed (seriously, in the middle of an open house?), and I wish there had been more depth to certain plot elements. Despite these shortcomings, I found myself completely invested in Colette's journey. The way the story handles themes of belonging, self-discovery, and finding your voice (both literally and figuratively) really resonated with me. While it may not be the most complex shifter romance I've read, it's definitely one of the sweetest. I'd give this 4 out of 5 stars. If you're in the mood for a heartwarming paranormal romance with protective mates, found family vibes, and a heroine who discovers her own strength, this book is absolutely worth your time. Just don't expect heavy angst or intense drama - this is more of a comfort read with a supernatural twist. Yours truly, Farahilda 🦊✨

Book Description

I’d spent my entire life voiceless. Ignored. Put to the side. All because I couldn’t communicate with the humans that I was surrounded by. All because I wasn’t surrounded by my own kind, my parents subjected me to the worst type of loneliness because of their own bias and history. That all changed when I turned eighteen though. The day that I decided to pick up and move to Willowdale Village. A place that signified the exact opposite of my upbringing. A place where I found my best friend. A place where I opened up my own business, a small ballet studio where I didn’t have to worry about whether I could talk to others or not. A place where people understood why I couldn’t talk. A place where everyone was different. A place where I met the Graves brothers, a family of wolf shifters, that planned on changing my life forever. A place I now called home. But what happens when my parents come to visit with an unexpected guest? One that not only wants to bring me back to where I grew up but place a very unwanted ring on my finger? I have a feeling that no one is going to be happy about this, least of all me, and the reaction of the Graves brothers is nothing to be happy about either. The Willowdale Village collection consists of several standalone stories about the women that live in this supernatural town and their stories of finding themselves and love. You won’t find any dark romance here, only possessive alpha males and true happily ever afters. Each woman is absolutely unique and strong for their own reason. PNR UF Reverse Harem with +18 sexual content, swearing, and adult themes. This collection of short stories has been created by the author in an effort to give back. A certain percentage of the first month’s proceeds (for each new novel release within the collection) will be donated towards a select unique cause.
